Speaker 1 00:00:01 Hi guys.
Speaker 0 00:00:02 So I'm working
Speaker 1 00:00:04 On a, uh, a project concept at the moment that I've come across from many different places, many different business groups, and it's the idea that you are pretty much either an amateur business owner or you are a professional business owner. And this really resonated with me because subconsciously I've been thinking like a professional business owner for several years now in my business, in my life. And it's why I'm so passionate actually to help my clients and to help other business owners. But the problem is not everybody wants to be helped. You don't know what you don't know. And I couldn't quite label, you know, sometimes it can be a little bit, it can come across as a bit arrogant. Um, kind of just forcing your opinion and saying, you know what? You need to be a better business owner. Cause if someone doesn't really, it's like telling someone they need to lose weight, but they don't want to lose weight
Speaker 0 00:00:59 Cause you think they're overweight. Um, if that makes sense. But the concept of becoming a professional business owner was brilliant because it's so simple. It's so easy for us to relate to, and it, it's so logical. So when you first start your own business, normally you are good at what you do. So for me, I was good as an accountant or like to think I was good as an accountant, but I was inexperienced and I was potentially incompetent to be a business owner on day one. I've
Speaker 1 00:01:29 Had to
Speaker 0 00:01:29 Grow. I've had to learn my trade. So my question to you guys, if you are running a business is what have you done to upskill yourself to go from business novice to expert owner? What have you done in the last 12 months, three months, three years, five years? Uh, Keith Cunningham, who's really a great author and, uh, business guru from America Tour with Tony Robbins. He, he says that some people have been in business 25 years, but actually they've been in business one year 25 times. So what have you learned in your business in the last year, the last three years? And if not, what can you start doing to become a serious business owner? Not just spin the wheels, not just, um, you know, I come across expression being a busy fool. Just kind of head down. Yeah, it's all good. I'm busy, but we we're wearing busy. Like it's a, a badge of honor, but actually, um, it's a sign that maybe you're taking too much or you are not always make it making progress. So hopefully that resonates with you. Reach out if you've got any questions. Cheers, guys. And also, I know it's pretty early, but I just wanna say Merry Christmas. Ho, ho, ho.
